🎃 Simple & Fun Halloween Activities for Toddlers
I wanted to share a few last-minute Halloween ideas to get you through the rest of the week — simple, fun, and toddler-approved. We’re keeping it low-key around here but still leaning into the Halloween spirit. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
🕷️ Window Stickers
These were such a hit! The boys loved picking out their favorite stickers and sticking them all over the windows. I think this might have to be a yearly tradition — and I’ll definitely pull out some themed stickers for upcoming holidays, too.
Depending on your comfort level, some of the ones we picked were a little “spooky,” but we’ve been using that as an opportunity to talk about what’s real and what’s pretend.

🕸️ Spiders on the Spider Web
I grabbed some clear Scotch tape and a pack of plastic spiders and made a quick “web” on our child safety gate. I’ve tried this activity a couple of times recently, but this time it finally clicked!
Itsy Bitsy Spider…
The boys were so into it and stayed entertained long enough for me to get dinner on the table — I call that a win.
🦇 Bats on the Wall
The boys helped me hang bats on our living room wall. Since the front of our house gets too much sun for outdoor decorations, we brought the Halloween vibes inside — and it turned out so cute! It’s simple, inexpensive, and toddler-friendly.
🎨 Pumpkin Decorating
A few weeks ago, we made an unofficial trip to the pumpkin patch after soccer. No coordinated outfits or perfect pictures — just pure fun. The boys loved rearranging pumpkins (literally moving them from one spot to another!) and helping me pick out five of different sizes and varieties.
At home, we used washable finger paints to decorate the smaller ones. It was messy, silly, and so much fun.
We might do a little trunk-or-treat on Friday, but otherwise, this is how this very busy mom got a few easy, inexpensive Halloween moments in this season. The boys loved it — and honestly, I did too.
