We’ve read a lot of books over the past couple years—some we’ve loved, and others we’ve hidden at the bottom of the pile (you know the ones). But there are a few titles we keep coming back to again and again.
These are the books that make our boys light up, the ones they bring to us on repeat, and the ones I’ve practically memorized at this point. If you're looking to build out your toddler library—or you’ve got vehicle-obsessed little ones like we do—this list is a great place to start.
I apologize in advance for the length of the list, but I had a hard time really narrowing it down. Here are some of our most-loved books right now:
Eric Carle Favorites: SO Many Good Ones (and this isn’t our entire list)
Little Blue Truck: Our Ride-or-Die Series
We read these on repeat and know most of them by heart.
Construction Site Crew: Trucks, Excavators, and Big Smiles
This growing collection fuels their love for anything that goes beep and boom.
And Just a Few More…Because We Love Them So Much
Goodnight Moon (we read this EVERY single night)
Love You Head to Toe (can’t find on Amazon currently, but a sweet one)
And while we’ve built quite the collection of books over time, I also want to acknowledge that you don’t need to buy a bunch of books to foster a love of reading. You can find a large selection of books at your local library or a neighborhood Little Free Library. Swapping books with friends or checking out digital copies through your library’s app can be such a helpful way to keep things fresh without adding clutter—or cost. It’s the experience of reading together that really matters.
