As a mom of twin toddlers, I’m always curious what toys other parents are loving. Because let’s be real—so much of our day is play. And while we’re lucky to have a wonderful nanny with us about 25 hours a week, the bulk of our days still revolve around books, blocks, cars, trucks… and more trucks.

We’ve never been big on loud, flashing toys—it just kind of happened that way—but leaning into simpler play has been a sweet spot for us. (Although, let’s be honest, I’m always open to fresh ideas if you’ve got favorites!) For context, my boys are almost two as of September 2025, and these are the toys that are on constant rotation in our house right now.

💡 Quick note: I peek at age ranges on the boxes, but ultimately, I use my best mom judgment. A lot of what we do right now is supervised play, so don’t be surprised if some of these say they’re “not age appropriate.” We’re rolling with what works for our family.

Kitchen + Cleaning Obsession

My boys are obsessed with cleaning and kitchen play. Honestly, I hope this sticks—future partners, you’re welcome.

Cars, Trucks, & All the Wheels

We didn’t push cars or trucks, but once the boys showed interest, we leaned hard into it. Endless entertainment.

Builders in Training: Blocks, Tiles & Puzzles

If it can stack, topple, or click together—they’re in.

Outdoor Play Favorites

Burning energy outdoors = everyone’s sanity saver.

Your Turn
